Patna Womens College of Patna University is one of the oldest colleges in Bihar. It was established in the year 1940 with the help of Bishop Sullivan S.J., Patna. Today, it is run by nun’s sisters of Apostolic Carmel. Undoubtedly, it is one of the most prestigious institutions in Bihar. It has been the centre of excellence since its very establishment.
The college is exclusively women oriented. It is run by women for women of Bihar. Its mission statement clearly states that the establishment is for the enlistment and empowerment for the womenfolk of Bihar.
